Averie graduated from Blackstone Valley Prep Mayoral Academy, but played lacrosse at Providence Country Day School. She earned four letters in lacrosse for PCDS and was named to the All-State Team Second Team all four years. She finished her career with more than 600 saves and a 61% save percentage. Fun fact – Averie is a Gold Star alum!

Averie went on to play at Wheaton College where she is majoring in nursing. She was a standout for one season, before being sidelined due to multiple concussions. Averie currently coaches with the Easton select program.
